Video Annotator

Draw text, arrows, lines, shapes, highlights, and freehand ink on any video. Add numbered step callouts, blur out faces or private info, give each annotation its own time range and animation, then export as MP4 or WebM. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

seconds
Video export plays the video once in real time while recording the annotated canvas at the video's native resolution (audio included when the browser allows it).

How It Works

Load a video, pick a tool, and draw directly on the picture. Every annotation gets a time range (shown as a colored bar on the timeline) so it appears and disappears exactly when you want; drag a bar to retime it or drag its edges to trim. Use the Select tool to move annotations, drag their corner or endpoint handles to reshape them, and edit text, color, stroke, and timing from the toolbar.

Each annotation can be animated: fade, pop, slide in, pulse, or draw on (lines, arrows and ink are stroked progressively). Use the number badge tool for step-by-step callouts (click to place ①, ②, ③...) and the pixelate tool to censor faces, license plates, or private information. When you are done, export a single frame as PNG or record the annotated video (or just a time range of it). Annotations are auto-saved in your browser, and you can save them as JSON to reload later.
